Josh Lakes
Owner / Founder / Master Electrician
Josh has never wanted to site behind a desk and needed something physically demanding and mentally challenging.
Growing up farming in Spring Valley, Ohio near Dayton raising cattle, hogs, and an assortment of grains. When
the farm downsized, Josh got a job at Reliable Construction working under Paul Rogers. Through his four years
at Reliable, Josh progressed from his starting position as a general laborer specializing in gas station
construction to an assistant for their master electricians. In 2002 Josh was laid off from Reliable and
began working for Carey Electric. His work at Carey focused mainly on Meijer store remodels. The focus
of Josh's job became more and more electrical oriented as the next ten years saw him working for companies
including 5 Star Electrical Services, and Miller Addams Commercial. In 2011 Josh decided to pursue his
dream and founded Absolute Electrical Contractors. Assembling a team of highly motivated, highly dedicated
people with a passion to constantly pursue new innovations and fresh ideas, Josh found his niche delivering
the highest quality possible to our customers.
Dee Simpson
Office Manager / "Mom"
Dee met Josh through a mutual friend while he was looking for an office manager. Her experiences prior to
Absolute included being a book keeper for a painting contractor, an administrator for a church children's
ministry and a year and a half working for an insurance agency. Dee likes organizing, book keeping, and accounting
so it's easy for her to come to work because she loves it. She adds that the team is a fun group to be around
and it's a very family-like, caring atmosphere to work in. Dee keeps all the wheels greased and makes sure all
of the different teams are always working together in harmony across the company. She manages communication with
the field crews to ensure everyone stays on the same page. As an added bonus, Dee is fluent in American sign language.
Aside from work, Dee loves spending quality time with her three grown kids and her husband of 31 years.
Mark Tarziers
Safety Admonisher / Fleet Manager / Materials Expediting / Logistics
Mark joined the Absolute team in 2016 coming from a background in construction and industrial and commercial
maintenance. Mark's career began as a carpenter fresh out of high school. Over the first twelve years in
business his work focused mainly on hospitals where quality is most critical. As Mark's leadership abilities
began to surface, the focus of his work shifted to managing the crews on the projects he was involved in. Mark
also ran his own fabrication shop for a few years on the side and had worked with Josh in various business ventures
before coming on board with Absolute Electrical Contractors. Since then, as Mark says, it's been quite an adventure.
There's never a dull moment, and because no two projects are alike, you never do exactly the same thing twice. Outside
of work, Mark is a devoted family man who loves fixing, restoring, and building all sorts of things in his spare time,
all while maintaining his passion for safety.
